Downloading and installing the software

– Click on the download now button to begin the WinWay TradingExpert Pro download process required for your Dial/Data service (if you already have the software installed please go to step #2). The download will begin shortly.
NOTE: TradingExpert Pro requires a PC with 2GB RAM running Windows 7.0 or higher in standard and not S Mode.

(WinWay TEP may operate on a Mac with an Intel chipset running Windows 10/11 under Parallels v 15 or higher or other current Windows emulation software, although this environment is not supported)

– In Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge we suggest you save the file to your system

– In Google Chrome the file saves automatically

– In Firefox select save

– Locate the install file WinWayTradingExpertProDD255.exe, it will be in your downloads folder, or you can search for the file name. Once found, Cut and Paste it to your Desktop folder.

– Double-click on the file name in your Desktop folder

– If prompted ‘Do you want the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer’ click Yes

– The installation process includes all the WinWay TradingExpert Pro files and data you need for the trial. The installation will begin once the file has been unpacked.

– The WinWay TradingExpert Pro install will then start. Follow instructions to install when prompted. Upon completion of the installation the process is set to launch the program. Untick the Launch the program now box (or close the program if opened) and follow the instructions in Step 2.

Support Questions

Installshield 432 Error

If you receive an error Installshield 432, you may have the install running already directly after the download completes. Cancel any open installs and start the process again preferably after a reboot.

The Request Operation Requires Elevation

Right-click on the TradingExpertPro96AIQ.exe in your downloads folder and select ‘Run as Administrator’

Running the software

a) Open the program from the red AIQ Icon on your Desktop or through the Main Menu icon on your WinWay TradingExpert Pro program group from your Windows Start button and this menu will appear. We suggest you start with the Charts icon.

How do I enter my Dial/Data credentials?

You’ll receive your credentials in an e-mail, the instructions are in the e-mail and are also included below.

Launch the WinWay TradingExpert Pro Main Menu icon from your WinWay TradingExpert Pro program folder
Select the Comm icon
Click on the Setup Options tab and then on the Setup button adjacent to Service Dial/Data
Enter your user ID and password from the credentials e-mail and click OK. Enter your password again to confirm. You are now ready to download data from Dial/Data. You’ll be able to receive Intraday Snapshot automatically when you download during US market hours. End of day closing data is usually available after 8pm US Eastern Time.

I also subscribed to Intraday Snapshot- how often is data updated?

During US market hours a snapshot of pricing is taken and available with 35-40 minute delay. All US stocks are available
You can download several times during a trading day and receive the most recent delayed data snapshot into end of day Charts
You can also update the Groups/Sectors, Reports, Portfolio Manager, and EDS Strategies
The Intraday Snapshot is particularly useful when downloading in the last hour of trading as you have an opportunity to undertake end of day analysis with the vast majority of the day’s trading data and place trades before the market closes.
This delayed data on all US stocks can be downloaded and appended to your end of day data files during market hours. The system uses the Market Times (preset to UK equivalent times for US markets) above to determine when a download is considered intraday
Downloading outside the market hours ensures the closing prices for a day overwrite the intraday. Removing the checkmark is not required to get closing prices.
